Same combo, just add style.

The department of transport offers a cheap alternative by switching the standard issued plates to black and white, whilst keeping the same number & letter combination for only $175. People now have the ability to change their number plate to more aesthetically pleasing black and white plate. This is a game-changer in the eyes of the public creating a more modernised look.

QLD Plate History:

QLD 'sunshine state' slogan number plates were issued as green & white from 1977 - 2001. In October 2001, the Queensland premier announced the plates would be switching to maroon & white 'smart state' slogan in efforts to promote education, research and development. Since then numerous plate variations and styles have been manufactured giving drivers more options of expression.
